Social Media Training at Geronimo Inns

Today members from the Geronimo team headed down to Geronimo HQ for a social media training session held by Me:Mo’s digitally savvy social team. With their heads fully in the twittersphere clouds, everything from the power of the #hashtag to organic follower building was covered. All 35 pubs are individually set up on Facebook and Twitter so we hope to see a lot of boosted Klout scores in the coming weeks!


The New Look New Yorker Online

One of our favourite magazines, the New Yorker has this week (re)launched its website with a smart new design, all part of a significant change in the magazines digital presence.

Like the Daily Telegraph, Financial Times and Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker will go behind a metered pay wall later in the year, a limited number of articles will be available for free before users will be asked to subscribe.

In the meantime though visitors can explore their archive, dating back to 1997, for free for the next three months or so – a nice little enticement for potential subscribers.

Interestingly, especially for those like us who want to get their teeth into something a little more substantial content wise, the New Yorker editor David Remnick has noted that long-form journalism is becoming, perhaps a little surprisingly, very popular online. This is probably down to the proliferation of tablets and easy to use websites, hence the New Yorker’s expanses of white, creating a very clean, uncluttered reading experience. According to this piece we can expect a similar offering from the Guardian too. Refreshing news indeed!



Sports Bar & Grill appoints Me:Mo Interactive

With branches located in Marylebone, Victoria, Farringdon, Waterloo & Picadilly Circus, we can’t wait to get started!

CAU does brunch!

This week Me:Mo client CAU launched its Argentine inspired brunch menu at their BlackheathTunbridge Wells & Kingston branches.  As well as using traditional social media methods, Me:Mo decided to use flipagram to showcase the delicious menu on offer – click BRUNCH to see it in action!

Me:Mo client Meat And Shake have bagged the hot spot, this time in daily Stylist newsletter, Emerald Street in its’ Cocktails and Cappuccinos section. The Truffle Shuffle burger has come up trumps once again with previous admirers, Mr Hyde and Esquire also showing it some love! Bodean’s Balham | 4th July Style

Friday night saw Me:Mo client, Bodean’s BBQ celebrate Independence Day in true American style with a rather spectacular BBQ and Old Forester Whiskey inspired cocktails. With the likes of  Time outBar ChickGQ, and Caterer and Hotelkeeper in attendance, masterclasses in cocktail making and how to season your meat ‘the Bodean’s way’ went down very well. Not to mention the goodie bags full to the brim of all the Bodean’s essentials. Of course, Me:Mo were on hand to capture the 4th July festivities and live tweet from Bodean’s BBQ throughout. Think it’s safe to say everyone left pretty darn satisfied!

National Restaurant Awards

We are very pleased to see a couple of our clients in the National Restaurant Awards top 100 which was announced last night (Monday June 30th).

The Square, 23 years young and still in the top 10 despite competition from some new kids on the block and Galvin at Windows which has climbed from 71 to 45 this year.

Obviously a huge well done to Gymkhana, though I am personally a annoyed about this as it means I now won’t be able to get a reservation on a Friday evening till 2017!

Always nice to see my favourites in there, I’ve had super meals at The Sportsman, Quo Vadis, St John and Bocca Di Lupo in the past 12 months and I look forward to dining at some of the other top 100 in the coming year – I already have trips planned to The Seahorse – and the biggy – my 30th at the River Café!

Here’s to another great year of eating out!

Bianco43 Boutique Veneto Wine Event

Yesterday evening Me:Mo Interactive client Bianco43 hosted a Boutique Veneto Wine event at their Blackheath branch and of course, we were on hand to tweet and snap away! The evening was led by Veronica Tommasini from the Daniela Piccoli Estate and Patricia Green, Bianco43’s local wine guru. Guests tasted five handpicked wines from the Veneto region of Italy, including Valpolicella, Soave and Valdobbiadene, as well as delicious cicchetti’s from the new Veneto regional menu. All photos and a live feed of the event can be found on Bianco 43’s Twitter which Me:Mo were updating  throughout the evening!
