We are very pleased to see a couple of our clients in the National Restaurant Awards top 100 which was announced last night (Monday June 30th).
The Square, 23 years young and still in the top 10 despite competition from some new kids on the block and Galvin at Windows which has climbed from 71 to 45 this year.
Obviously a huge well done to Gymkhana, though I am personally a annoyed about this as it means I now won’t be able to get a reservation on a Friday evening till 2017!
Always nice to see my favourites in there, I’ve had super meals at The Sportsman, Quo Vadis, St John and Bocca Di Lupo in the past 12 months and I look forward to dining at some of the other top 100 in the coming year – I already have trips planned to The Seahorse – and the biggy – my 30th at the River Café!
Here’s to another great year of eating out!

Yesterday evening Me:Mo Interactive client Bianco43 hosted a Boutique Veneto Wine event at their Blackheath branch and of course, we were on hand to tweet and snap away! The evening was led by Veronica Tommasini from the Daniela Piccoli Estate and Patricia Green, Bianco43’s local wine guru. Guests tasted five handpicked wines from the Veneto region of Italy, including Valpolicella, Soave and Valdobbiadene, as well as delicious cicchetti’s from the new Veneto regional menu. All photos and a live feed of the event can be found on Bianco 43’s Twitter which Me:Mo were updating throughout the evening!

Here at ME:MO HQ we’ve ranked our Top 5 Twitter handles to follow throughout the FIFA World Cup. That’s not to say they’re the most informative, but with England on their way out we’ve got to look for other ways of entertaining ourselves! As England now rely on Italy to keep them in with a chance of making it through, Mario Balotelli is our number 1. Followed by Brazuca, for it’s witty tweets, Wayne Rooney for his not so witty tweets, The official FIFA World Cup, well, because it would be rude not to, and for those spine chilling and down right dramatic moments, The American Outlaws have got it nailed.

Last night saw the press launch of Me:Mo client, Bellavita. Held at the delightful Bocca Di Lupo restaurant in Soho, Me:Mo invited journalists to meet the Bellavita team and learn more about the three day Italian food and wine expo. Journalists from titles including Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Hospitality and Catering News, The American and BarChick all attended and a good time was had by all.

Geronimo Inns and Me:Mo have teamed up to create a series of videos entitled World Cup: Pub Ammo in which members of the Geronimo team share some rather unusual facts and trivia about each of the 32 nations competing in the 2014 World Cup. Hosted on the Geronimo You Tube Channel and site, some of our favourite facts include ‘Japan is the largest exporter of frogs legs’ and ‘Croatia has over 1000 islands but only 66 are inhabited’. Goes without saying that Me:Mo will be pretty good at pub quizzes for a while!

Another great piece of press, this time courtesy of one of the leading trade titles, Restaurant Magazine, who featured CAU in a three page business profile feature. Graham Hall, Operations Director for the fast growing group, surprised himself by being a natural in front of the camera!

This morning saw a fantastic turn out for this years Tower Race in aid of Galvin’s Chance. Amongst the runners were Chris Galvin, Fred Sirieix and head chef Joo Won. With the beautiful weather Me:Mo were of course on hand to cheer on the runners and keep everyone updated via Galvin at Window’s Twitter. For more photos click here.

Last night saw the fabulous garden party at Geronimo Inns‘ pub, The Fentiman Arms for their 10 year celebration with Aspall Cyder. The weather held out (for the most part) and with the likes of The Independent and The Sunday Mirror on hand to taste the Aspall inspired dishes, it was fun and games all round!
