Get your brunch on, Autumn-style

3 November 2017

Shot Espresso, Parsons Green

We’re sure you already know Shot serve the best coffee in Parsons Green, but they’ve been scratching their heads to think how they can really treat their customers with a bit of London restaurant marketing – with a brand-new brunch menu of course!

A most notable addition to the menu is Canadian banana bread. In true Canadian style, it’s topped generously with bacon and lashings of maple syrup, plus roasted bananas and crème fraiche. We think we saw this under the definition of ‘total indulgence’ in Merriam Webster, though we may have been dreaming!

Next up, they’ve flown right back to the other side of the planet to a fiery eggs Shakshuka. As the shadows of winter mornings approach, this dish alongside their new Moroccan mint tea is certain to make you reminisce of the souks and bazaars of North Africa; and if it doesn’t then at least this eggs-otic dish will warm you from the inside, out. Along with a slab of sourdough toast, we grant you full permission to ravenously mop the remainders from the bottom of the dish.

Address: 28 Parsons Green Ln, Fulham, London SW6 4HS

Chop Bloc, Chelmsford

Chelmsford’s quality steak and grill house, Chop Bloc, is bringing brunch back with a real punch, with a weekend menu that offers diners a wide selection of delectable dishes. The envy of any London restaurant marketing!

Meander through the menu and choose from our personal favourites: Huevos Rancheros – complete with fried egg, tortilla, tomato salsa, fresh chilli, coriander, guacamole, black beans & chorizo, Blueberry Pancakes – drizzled with maple syrup and peppered with fresh blueberries with that sweet ‘n’ sour balance. Or Brioche French Toast – egg soaked brioche, fresh berries & maple syrup.

If you’re still gasping for more, treat yourself to one of their home-made cocktail creations, the perfect round-up to any brunch!
