Broadway Market – The perfect start to your Saturday

21 April 2017

It’s that time of year again, when the great food markets of London blossom into a real buzz of activity. And all the food and drink PR agencies come out to show appreciation for the wonderful markets of London. Yes, they are open all year round, but there is something special about summer in London, sitting on the front wall of someone’s house whilst what seems like the entire population of London queues for doughnuts. To celebrate the start of market season, being a food PR agency in London we thought we should share the love with a list of our favourite pit stops at one of our favourite markets. An institution to most Londoners, Broadway Market is as good a place to start as any. Strolling down the canal in the morning sun, is there a more pleasant way to start your Saturday morning? So where do we start… The way every morning starts, with coffee!

Climpson & Sons – Specialty Coffee, at it’s finest. You will have to queue, but as Londoners we are more than used to this. Be sure to check out Climpson Arch, just around the corner.

Dumpling Shack – Crispy bottomed soup dumplings! A new addition to the market, but an instant hit.

Hill & Szrock – High quality butcher with restaurant, well worth a visit in the evening for dinner.

Deeney’s – THE best grilled sandwiches, just ask for the “Macbeth’. Haggis, bacon, mustard, cheese and rocket.

Noble Wines – Fine, natural wines. No snobbery to be found here, just a true passion and knowledge of fine wine, by small producers. Also visit their restaurant on Lamb’s Conduit St!

Pavilion – Seriously good bakery. Wonderful sourdough, even better pastries.

Hansen & Lydersen – Smoked salmon, crème fraiche & dill. Simple, but the best.

Le Swine – “Bad Ass Bacon Butty” Their words, we agree. The mushroom ketchup is killer, and make sure you get it with the duck egg, it’s epic!

Crosstown Donuts – They’re just donuts I hear you say. You know better than that…
